On Tuesday, May 20, 2014, Roslyn voters approved a $41.3 million capital program by a vote of 850 to 462. Please visit this page for updates as the school district undertakes the projects in the capital plan.
On Thursday, February 25, 2016, the Board of Education awarded bids for the first projects to be undertaken as part of Phase I. Ground was broken and work began in early April, progressing through the summer with the most extensive projects in the first phase at East Hills School and Roslyn Middle School. Extensive interior and exterior work was complete at both sites before the beginning of school in September, 2016. The new library and additional parking/drop-off area at East Hills were completed in the late fall, while new construction continues through the winter months on the bus maintenance facility, gymnasium at Roslyn High School and multi-purpose room at Harbor Hill School.
The next major phase will commence with comprehensive renovations at Roslyn High School and Harbor Hill School slated for the summer of 2017.
