Bonjour et bienvenus,

I am thrilled to have this medium through which I can communicate with you. If you are reading this, it is safe

to assume you are asking yourself what you can do to support your child's learning. This page can help us to

collaborate with each other to ensure your child's success in French.

Here are some tips about how you may be able to help:

1. Since we generate new vocabulary almost every day, you can encourage your child to study the new vocab daily.

He /she may even want to create a quizlet page to log, and effectively quiz himself/ herself on the new vocabulary

as it is generated each day. This is a strategy some of my most successful students use to keep up on their vocab.

To do this they go to quizlet.com and follow the steps to create flashcards and quizzes which they use to effectively

quiz themselves and prepare for their tests and quizzes.

2. Encourage you 9th and 10th grader  to go to classzone.com to do the practice exercises and quizzes that accompany our

Discovering French text book.

4. Encourage your child to take advantage of extra help after school as often as he /she can. This gives me an opportunity to get to

know him/her better and to identify, understand, and remedy any weaknesses he/she may have, and to better develop his/her strengths.

Extra help is available Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 2.40 to 3.10.

Finally, I urge you to reach out to me often as you feel the need.  Let me know how  your child is doing and feeling in the class. I welcome
