COURSE:           French 2/2H

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This course stresses further development of the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing within more complex grammatical patterns.  There is continued familiarization with French culture and civilization.

The values inherent in acquiring second?language proficiency and heightened cultural awareness of the multi?cultural society in which we live are promoted.

MAJOR TOPICS COVERED:

The students are familiarized with the study skills guide for foreign language.

The major topics that will be developed with relevant and appropriate grammar topics are: personal identification, house and home, family life, community and neighborhood, physical environment, meal taking and beverages; health and welfare, education, earning a living, leisure, public and private services, shopping, travel, and current events.
