Roslyn Summer Academy
The Roslyn Summer Academy is a four-week program designed to extend learning opportunities for Roslyn School District residents who have completed any grade from kindergarten through grade 8. The daily four-hour program targets instruction in English Language Arts and Mathematics through project-based learning and thematic units of study. Students will extend their learning through engaging activities and multiple field trips. Physical Education instruction is also integrated into the daily schedule.
The program is staffed by certified Roslyn Public School teachers, a school nurse, and a Roslyn administrator. Instruction focuses on skill development in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The core curriculum includes early literacy competencies and mathematical concepts in grades K-3 and grade-specific literacy and mathematical skills in grades 4-8. Children participate in reading, writing, listening, computer, and mathematical activities.
Enrollment is limited to 300 students and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Register now!

Children residing in the Roslyn School District who have completed any grade from kindergarten through grade 8 by June 2018. Children must be at least 6 years old by December 1, 2018.
There is no fee for Roslyn resident students to attend the program.
If you are interested in registering your child in this academic experience, please complete a registration form as soon as possible to secure a place in the program. Enrollment is limited to 300 students and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration forms will be accepted in the order that they are received. Parents and guardians may pick up registration forms in the main office of any Roslyn school building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Registration deadline: Friday, May 25
Continuity of instruction is imperative to the success of the program. Regular attendance is required. Children who are absent more than two days, without medical documentation, will automatically be withdrawn.
Transportation is provided for all registered children. Late registrants’ transportation will not be provided during the first three days of the summer program.
Food service is not provided. Children must bring lunch from home.
