The Roslyn Summer Academy is a four-week program designed to extend learning opportunities for Roslyn School District residents who have completed any grade from Kindergarten through Grade 8. The daily four-hour program targets instruction in English Language Arts and Mathematics through project-based learning and thematic units of study. Students will extend their learning through engaging activities and multiple field trips. Physical Education instruction is also integrated into the daily schedule.
The program is staffed by certified Roslyn Public School teachers, a school nurse, and a Roslyn administrator. Instruction focuses on skill development in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The core curriculum includes early literacy competencies and mathematical concepts in Grades K-3 and grade-specific literacy and mathematical skills in Grades 4-8. Children participate in reading, writing, listening, computer, and mathematical activities.Enrollment is limited to 300 students and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Register now!
