Roslyn Students Attend Math Tournament

JUN 4, 2019 - Thirty students from East Hills School, Harbor Hill School, and Roslyn Middle School attended the 13th Annual Nassau County Math Tournament on May 29 at SUNY Old Westbury. There were 250 students in grades 4-6 from schools throughout Nassau County at the tournament, which was co-sponsored by the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association and the Nassau County Association of Mathematics Supervisors.Ariela Yousefzadeh, Roslyn Middle School student and winnter of Nassau County Math Tournament

Students competed in individual and team contests. The problems were intense and stimulated our students’ minds.

Congratulations to Roslyn Middle School sixth-grade student Ariela Yousefzadeh (right), who tied for first place among the 250 competitors.

The students were coached by Roslyn’s Computer Teacher Amy Braunstein, 5th Grade Teacher Jean Belcher, Enrichment Teacher Suzanne Falcone, 2nd Grade Teacher Jen Bravo, and Middle School Technology Teacher Mark Valentino.
