Dr. Seuss's Magical Musical Extravaganza at Roslyn Middle School

The Roslyn Middle School Spotlight performers presented Seussical the Musical Jr., a vibrant and whimsical production that brought the beloved characters of Dr. Seuss to the stage. Under the direction of teacher Julianna DeAngelis, and with musical direction by teacher Brian Villegas, students worked tirelessly to bring this imaginative world to life. Performances took place from March 6–9, 2025, showcasing the talent, creativity, and dedication of the middle school cast and crew.

This production, based on the works of Dr. Seuss, combined classic stories such as Horton Hears a Who!, Gertrude McFuzz, and Horton Hatches the Egg into an unforgettable musical adventure. Through engaging performances, intricate choreography, and lively musical numbers, the students embodied themes of friendship, perseverance, and the power of imagination. 

With dazzling costumes, dynamic set designs, and captivating performances, Seussical the Musical Jr. delighted the Roslyn community. The production served as a reminder of the joy and wonder found in Dr. Seuss’s timeless stories, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
