Roslyn Students Hear Powerful Story of Survival
On Tuesday, March 4th, Roslyn High School students had the unique opportunity to hear from Carl Wilkens, the only American who remained in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. Thanks to the efforts of Social Studies Chair Kristy Faulkner, Wilkens shared his powerful experiences, emphasizing the importance of compassion, resilience, and taking action in times of crisis. His presentation explored how people can repair broken relationships, create a culture of belonging, and build sustainable communities.
