Breaking Borders: RHS Students Connect with Peers from Across Communities

Members of the Roslyn High School Students United for Safer Schools Club and Diversity Club joined students from various schools to participate in the Breaking Borders program held at Syosset High School on February 27, 2025. The event brought together 150 students from Baldwin High School, Elmont High School, Mepham High School, JFK High School, Herricks High School, and Syosset High School for an inspiring day of connection and collaboration.

“This was a multicultural and multi-school event that inspired our students and provided a rich learning experience,” said Club Advisor Kinshasa Allen.

Participants were placed in breakout groups, where they had the chance to connect with peers from different communities and engage in meaningful discussions. The program aimed to break down barriers and foster understanding among diverse student groups, and gave students an opportunity to broaden their perspectives and build connections across schools.
