Harbor Hill 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony

Harbor Hill Elementary School hosted its fifth grade moving up ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2024. Principal Michelle Hazen and Assistant Principal Justin Gabrus presided over the 9AM ceremony, which was held in the Roslyn High School auditorium.

Smiling broadly and dressed in black and white, the fifth-graders entered the auditorium to Pomp and Circumstance, then one-by-one, took a trip down memory lane, remarking on their most memorable experiences in grade school.

Roslyn Board of Education President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy gave remarks and shared some treasured advice from Dr. Seuss. She was followed by Roslyn Middle School Principal Craig Johanson, who congratulated the fifth-graders and told them how much he was looking forward to meeting them in the fall. In attendance were Superintendent Allison Brown and Assistant Superintendent Karina Baez. Remarks by PFA Co-Presidents Bindya Melwani and Lauren Director were followed by the presentation of promotion certificates and a student performance.
