Roslyn Marching Bulldogs Place First in Division 2 Field Band Championship
Roslyn High School’s Marching Bulldogs placed first in the Small School Division 2 category at the 2022 New York State Field Band Conference Championship—held at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Their show, Immortalis, earned a score of 89.075. Over 170 Roslyn students participated in the competition, along with 12 staff members and 50 pit crew parents.
“This is the highest score that we’ve ever received!” said Band Director Frank Mauriello. “I’m so proud of our talented students. They worked very hard this season to elevate their performance and it is a joy to see them succeed. Kudos to our students and everyone involved in the show.”
“Congratulations to all the students, staff, and pit crew parents for their hard work and dedication!” said Superintendent Allison Brown. “This win is so well deserved. I want to thank the Roslyn Board of Education, district administration, band fans, and the entire Roslyn community for their loyal support each season.”
The New York State Field Band Conference, Inc. was formed in 1972 for the purpose of regulating and scheduling field band events in New York State, and for the enhancement of school field band competitions.
