    The budget vote on June 9, 2020 will be conducted by mail-in ballot only. Every qualified voter in the school district will be sent a ballot by mail with a postage-paid return envelope. The ballot must returned by mail and received by the district clerk by 5:00pm on June 9, 2020

    School Budget Vote & Election Notice

    Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order 202.26, the 2020-2021 Budget Vote and Board Election will be conducted by an absentee ballot process. There will be no voting at polls. An absentee ballot with a postage paid return envelope will be mailed to all qualified voters in the school district whose names can be ascertained from the registration rolls utilized for the May 2019 budget vote and election, as well as those residents whose names have been added to the rolls since that time. Absentee ballots shall be received by the Office of the District Clerk, Roslyn School District, 300 Harbor Hill Rd., Roslyn NY 11576 no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 9, 2020.
    The annual budget Public Hearing for the fiscal year 2020-2021 will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 6:00pm virtually. The link for the meeting will be found on the district website at https://www.roslynschools.org/boardofed.
    A qualified voter must be a United States Citizen, be at least 18 years of age, be a resident of the school district for thirty (30) days immediately preceding the election and not otherwise prohibited from voting under the provisions of Section 5-106 of the Election Law.

    De conformidad con la orden ejecutiva 202.26 del gobernador, la votación del presupuesto y la elección de la Junta de 2020-2021 se llevarán a cabo mediante un proceso de votación por ausencia.     Voter Registration

    In order to vote you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old or older, and a resident of this school district for at least 30 days before the vote. In addition, a resident must be registered either with the school district or with the Nassau County Board of Elections. If you have not voted in a district or general election in the last four years, or are a new resident and have not registered to vote either with the school district or the Board of Elections, you need to register in advance to be able to vote in the school budget vote and election.

    There is currently no in-person voter registration available. However, prospective voters may still register to vote with the local county board of elections by completing an online application with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at https://dmv.ny.gov/more-info/electronic-voter-registration-application.
