Justin Gabrus has served the Roslyn School District since 2021.
In 2021, he became the Assistant Principal at Harbor Hill Elementary School, providing support for all students, families and staff in the Harbor Hill School Community. Prior to his appointment as assistant principal, Justin Gabrus worked as an assistant principal in the Merrick School District from 2018-2021. He began his career as an elementary school teacher in the Freeport School District, then later held a position as a literacy specialist in the Malverne School District.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Old Westbury in Childhood Education, a master’s degree in Literacy B-12 from Touro College, and earned certifications in both Building and District Leadership from The College of Saint Rose. He earned a Merrick Star as an administrator for his service to the Merrick community.
He believes in the power of yet. Growing up, his father always said “It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s that you haven’t learned to do it yet.”
Mr. Gabrus believes in leading students to reach their highest potential academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
