    Ms. Michelle Hazen has served the Roslyn School District since 1996. 

    In 2021, she became Principal of Harbor Hill Elementary School, providing an environment where students and staff feel safe to take on challenges and strive for excellence.

    Prior to her appointment as Principal, Michelle was a first grade teacher for over two decades at Heights Elementary School. Her next role was assistant principal at Heights for two years, followed by another two years as assistant principal at Harbor Hill. She began her career as  a first grade teacher in North Merrick.

    Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Sociology, a master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Adelphi University, and she earned certifications in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership from Long Island University. She was awarded the PFA Jenkins Award.
