The Roslyn Middle School String Ensemble earned a prestigious gold ranking in the 2024 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Majors.

Forty-two students performed (under the direction of Orchestra Director Ms. Marichelle Weill) for an esteemed panel of adjudicators on May 20th, playing selections from their winter and spring concerts. The ensemble was evaluated on various criteria such as intonation, rhythm, dynamics, and overall musicianship. Achieving a gold ranking signifies an outstanding level of performance and is a testament to the ensemble's excellence.
