Ms. Puliafico’s third grade STEAM class at East Hills Elementary School participated in a hands-on exploration at three different stations to investigate how varying surface textures affect friction. Through each activity, they observed how rough, smooth, and uneven surfaces can either increase or decrease the force required to move objects, gaining a practical understanding of friction in everyday life.
