The Muslim family of a second grade student at East Hill visited the school to teach the children about Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. They also had the opportunity to taste traditional food. Ramadan is the holiest month of the year in Islamic culture. For Muslims, it’s a time for spiritual reflection and growth, to help those in need, and to spend time with loved ones. Muslims fast during daylight hours for the whole month of Ramadan.
