Three Roslyn High School students were honored with Quill Awards at Adelphi University's Annual Press Day event—held virtually on February 18, 2022. The recognition was bestowed for articles they wrote for The Hilltop Beacon—Roslyn High School’s student newspaper. Each year, the event provides student-journalists with some tricks of the trade from seasoned print and digital media professionals and Adelphi communications faculty through panels and workshops.

And the winners were:

Best Visual (Photography or Artwork): 3rd place— junior Simone Mashaal with "Taking a Shot at Common Sense."
Best Sports Story or Column: 1st place—sophomore Benji Rabinovich with "Boys Volleyball Defeats Calhoun to Win County Championship."
Most Outstanding Reporter: 2nd place— sophomore Ari Siegel.
