Veterans Day Ceremony at Roslyn Middle School

Roslyn Middle School welcomed several veterans for a meaningful assembly in the parking lot in front of the school on the morning of November 10th.

Under the direction of music teacher Brian Villegas, the chorale performed God Bless America, everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and English and social studies students presented poems and classwork. Band teacher Katherine DeMaria and student Alexander Schaper performed Taps, and a moment of silence was observed to honor veterans who have passed this year. The assembly concluded with the presentation of a plaque by Roslyn staffer and veteran Steven McManus to Roslyn Middle School Principal Craig Johanson for his Outstanding and Dedicated Service to La Société des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux.
