RMS Hosts 2nd Annual Civics Fair

Roslyn Middle School hosted its 2nd Annual Civics Fair, highlighting the work of students participating in the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness Middle School Capstone Project. The event was led by social studies teacher Pete Lizza and students enrolled in the 8th grade civics elective.

Throughout the year, students researched issues that were meaningful to them, exploring topics ranging from local community concerns to broader social and civic challenges. In addition to investigating their chosen issues, students developed thoughtful action plans aimed at creating positive change. During the Civics Fair, students presented their findings and proposals to peers, teachers, and administrators, demonstrating strong critical thinking, research skills, and civic engagement.
