RHS Students Build Habitat for Humanity

Despite unseasonably hot temperatures in late May, eight dedicated students from the Roslyn High School Habitat for Humanity Club spent the day giving back to the community by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island in Wyandanch.

Working side by side with volunteers, builders, and teacher/advisor Bill Coggin, the students helped frame a new home for a local family. Their hard work, teamwork, and perseverance played an important role in helping to complete the framing of the house. The experience gave students the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while living out Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
