PARP Week 2026 at Roslyn Elementary Schools

PARP Week 2026 at Roslyn Elementary Schools

In association with the PFA (Parent Faculty Association), Heights, East Hills, and Harbor Hill elementary schools brought reading to life with Pick A Reading Partner (PARP) Week, featuring a playful monster theme and daily activities designed to inspire a love of reading among students. Students participated in creative, literacy-focused activities that encouraged imagination, storytelling and family engagement.

On Friday, January 9th, administrators from across the district visited classrooms at Heights to be mystery readers for the book, Harold and the Purple Crayon, by Crockett Johnson.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, East Hills students were treated to a visit from mystery readers who read aloud the book, A Bad Case of the Almost, by Janet Sumner Johnson. Among the administrators participating in the read-alouds were Superintendent Allison Brown, and Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Michael Goldspiel.
