Harbor Hill Students Get a Taste of the Courtroom

The courtroom came to life at Harbor Hill Elementary School,  thanks to a special visit from the Roslyn High School Mock Trial team. As part of the 5th-grade Mock Trial Intramural program, high school seniors stopped by to share their passion for law, debate, and public speaking with the elementary students.

During the visit, the seniors gave an engaging presentation detailing what Mock Trial looks like at the high school level, sharing personal stories from competitions, and discussing their exciting plans for college and beyond. The 5th graders gained a firsthand glimpse of the skills and dedication involved in Mock Trial.

“This was an incredibly rewarding experience,” said Ms. Georganna Ianniello of Harbor Hill. “Seeing my 5th graders so captivated by the high school seniors was inspiring. The seniors didn’t just teach them the mechanics of Mock Trial—they showed what passion, hard work, and leadership look like in practice.”
