BOE Honors Student Athlete at May Meeting

Lara Cohen of Roslyn High School’s varsity girls golf team was honored at the June 4, 2026, Board of Education meeting for her outstanding achievement of capturing first place at the 2026 Nassau County Golf Championship. Lara now stands among the premier high school golfers in Nassau County. 

Roslyn Athletic Director Michael Brostowski made remarks about her outstanding performance against the county’s top competitors, and highlighted her consistency and competitive excellence throughout the season. BOE President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy presented Lara and Roslyn Coach Kathleen Dwyer with certificates of appreciation.
