As you are aware, we take a moment every year to provide the parents and the community with an update. This overview will provide you with helpful information while also highlighting some of the accomplishments of our high school students and staff.

The following is some important information that you should be aware of:

• The faculty/student internship parking lot is NOT a drop off location for students in the morning. There have been several mishaps of near misses and excessive speed. If you are dropping off in the front, parents should use the main entrance, turn right toward the auditorium entrance and drop off along the adult education spaces
• All students have been issued I.D. cards this year. The cards are used as identification for SATs, ACTs, and SAT IIs. They are also used for school library cards. Students need them to swipe in at the attendance office when they are late in order to get a pass. Eventually, the cards will be used in the cafeteria and for building access. If your child lost his/her card or did not get one, please inform the main office. The cost to replace a lost I.D. is $10.
• Beginning this spring, the number of college visit days has been extended to four. Seniors and juniors in their second semester are eligible.
• Please remember to call the attendance office if your child is going to be absent.
• The Shared Decision Making Committee is working on a survey regarding open campus.
• The A.P. Exams begin the week of May 4th. The Regents and Final Examinations will begin the week of June 15th. Please refer to the website for the review schedules.
• As the warm weather approaches, we encourage you to review the appropriate guidelines in the student handbook. Every student receives a handbook in September. This handbook is also available on our web site, including the code of conduct.
