Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. We hope you had a healthy, happy and relaxing summer. It is hard to believe that the school year will be starting shortly.

The High School Parent Faculty Association (PFA) is looking forward to a very productive year working with the administration and staff. We will have many new challenges to face and goals to pursue for the upcoming year, and we welcome your participation, input and ongoing support. ALL of our meetings are open to all parents and faculty members. We schedule both day and evening meetings to try to accommodate all schedules. Please come to our meetings and voice your ideas and suggestions.

This year we are entering the 21^st century with a bang and are going paperless. We invite you to visit our webpage by logging onto www.roslynschools.org , and click on the tab on the left hand side entitled “Parent Associations”. We will be periodically updating our webpage with news, various meetings and information concerning the High School. We will be communicating via email. Please return the Parent Volunteer Worksheet with your email address whether or not you are able to volunteer. If you do not have email, and would like to receive communications, please let us know that, and we will try to accommodate you.

Our first PFA Meeting will be held on September 19^th at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will start with a question and answer period where Mr. Scanlon will be present to respond to questions about the high school. Freshman parents and new RHS parents will find this meeting especially informative.

We are looking forward to working with all of you this year. Please make the effort to become active and involved so we can provide the best educational environment for our children.
